Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

* Picture from Amazon*

Format read: Paperback

Rating: 4 out of 10

Plot: On the day of their fifth anniversary, Nick discovers that his wife is missing.  As the days go by, people begin to suspect that he is responsible for her disappearance.

Opinion: Since this is a suspense book, I don’t want to say too much to spoil it, but I was not that impressed with this book.  I figured out each of the twists before they happened, so it was difficult for me to keep reading through it when I already knew what was going to happen.  Also, I thought the epilogue-like ending was a cop-out and didn’t make much sense given the mood through the rest of the book.  Overall, I don’t think this book lives up to the hype that is surrounding it, and if you are at all good at figuring out plot twists in advance, don’t pick up this book.
