October Wrap-Up

For the month of October, I read four books, which is about average for me.  It was a mixed month for me; I enjoyed half of the books I read and was disappointed with the other half.  My favorite book of the month was The Waste Lands by Stephen King, which I thought was very engaging; the only problem I had with this book is that it ended on a huge cliffhanger.  My least favorite book of the month was The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker, which I thought had a good premise, but the author failed to provide enough details to make the story plausible.  These are the books I read with the ratings I gave them:

1. A Girl Like You by Maureen Lindley (5 out of 10 stars)

2. The Age of MIracles by Karen Thompson Walker (4 out of 10 stars)

3. The Waste Lands by Stephen King (8 out of 10 stars)

4. Smaller Signs of the Day by Muhammad bin Biyyumi (7 out of 10 stars)
